We started Hesper AI after years of building and selling document processing tools to insurance companies. We saw the same pattern everywhere - carriers would invest heavily in fraud detection, flag suspicious claims with ML models and rules engines, then hand those flagged claims to a small SIU team that was already buried.

75% of flagged claims were never fully investigated. Not because the flags were wrong - but because there weren't enough investigators to work them. Each case meant days of pulling documents, running database checks, chasing OSINT leads, and assembling a report. The bottleneck was never detection. It was investigation.
